🐱 KrynexAI Cat
One cat. One model. One destiny.
Why learn about every cat when you can reconstruct one specific cat?
KrynexAI is an experimental neural network implemented from scratch in Python + NumPy, without PyTorch, TensorFlow, or any other deep learning framework. Its single purpose is to reconstruct one specific photograph of a cat at 640×640 pixels.
This is not a generative model. It is not a GAN. It is not a diffusion model. It is a deliberately narrow, honest experiment in overfitting a network to a single image.

🎯 Features and Purpose
· One photo, one model. KrynexAI does not learn to "understand cats." It learns to remember one specific cat. · From-scratch implementation. The entire training loop is written in Python and NumPy — no autograd magic, no GPU acceleration. · Maximum specialization. The model does not claim to generalize. Its job is to reproduce a specific image. · Educational value. The project demonstrates what optimization looks like at the lowest level.
What KrynexAI does not do
· ❌ It does not generate new cats. · ❌ It does not generalize to images it has never seen. · ❌ It is not a GAN, VAE, diffusion model, or any other generative architecture. · ❌ It does not claim pixel-perfect results without measurements (see "Reproducibility").
🧠 How It Works
In its current implementation, KrynexAI has no hidden layers, weights, or neurons in the classical sense. Instead, the model stores optimizable RGB parameters for every pixel of the image.
Simplified:
- A tensor of shape (640, 640, 3) is initialized — one trainable value per color channel per pixel.
- At each optimization step, the error between the current parameter state and the target image is computed.
- The parameters are updated to reduce that error.
- When training finishes, the parameters are saved to .npz.
This is a form of direct overfitting to a single example: the model literally "memorizes" the image rather than learning to generate it.
🏗️ Architecture and Training
Component Description Input data One RGB image, 640×640 Trainable parameters Tensor (640, 640, 3) of RGB values Loss function Metric of difference between current parameters and the target image Optimizer Implemented by hand in NumPy Backend Python + NumPy Device CPU
⚠️ Exact details of the optimizer, learning rate, number of steps, and loss function are described in the training code. Unverified values are intentionally omitted here.
🖼️ Source Data
· Number of images: 1 · Resolution: 640×640 · Type: RGB (3 channels) · Origin: a cat photograph used as the target image for reconstruction
The dataset is not distributed with the model. The training image is used solely to demonstrate the method.
⚙️ Installation
KrynexAI requires only Python and NumPy:
pip install numpy
🚀 Running Training
python train.py
The training script:
- Loads the target cat image.
- Initializes the trainable RGB parameters.
- Runs the optimization loop.
- Saves the result to .npz.
🖼️ Image Reconstruction
python reconstruct.py
The reconstruction script:
- Loads the .npz file with optimized parameters.
- Assembles the image from them.
- Saves the result to disk.
📦 The .npz File
The .npz file is a standard NumPy archive containing arrays with optimized parameters.
Key Shape Type Description pixels (640, 640, 3) float Optimized RGB pixel values
Loading:
import numpy as np
data = np.load("krynexai.npz")
print(data.files)
params = data["pixels"]
💡 Usage Example
import numpy as np
data = np.load("krynexai.npz")
pixels = data["pixels"]
image = np.clip(pixels, 0, 1)
print("Image shape:", image.shape)
⚠️ Model Limitations
· No generalization. The model cannot reproduce any cat except the training one. · No generative capability. This is not a GAN, VAE, or diffusion model. It does not create anything new — it memorizes a specific image. · Single-image dependency. Changing the target image requires full retraining. · Model size scales with resolution. 640 × 640 × 3 parameters is not a compact representation. · No verified quality metrics. The project does not claim pixel-perfect accuracy without corresponding measurements. · CPU-only. The implementation is not optimized for GPU.
🔁 Reproducibility
To reproduce the experiment, you need to:
- Use the same target image at 640×640.
- Run the training script with the same hyperparameters.
- Compare the resulting .npz with the reference one.

🐾 Project Philosophy
The world's most specialized AI.
KrynexAI exists to remind us: not every neural network has to do everything. Sometimes one photograph of one cat is enough — plus an honest NumPy loop.
One cat. One model. One destiny. 🐱
